Overview of CGO

Without oversight we risk stagnation and we lack accountability in our governance.
This GitBook documents the development of a Community Governance Oversight group (hereafter "Oversight Group") tasked to examine changes in Project Catalyst Governance.
The need for an Oversight Group was identified in a presentation discussed by the Catalyst Circle V2 by Harris Warren, IOG on a proposed Catalyst Parameters governance process. Subsequently a proposal entitled "Community Governance Oversight" was submitted in Catalyst Fund 7 under the Improve and Grow Auditability Challenge. This was successfully voted for in February 2022.
